Software Description

TALC2000 automates functional testing of legacy systems. It can be used by Business Users who do not have programming experience, as well as by programmers and professional testers. TALC2000 can test any legacy system running on any platform. The only requirement is access to your host application using a Windows based terminal emulator. TALC2000 provides automatic test execution, logging, and validation of single test cases or complete test scripts containing multiple tests, and script flow can be controlled by test output. Unplanned and asynchronous events (e.g. operator messages during test playback) can be easily handled and do not result in failed test cases or validation errors. Special API functions allow you to automate commonly used data input functions, even during test case creation. TALC2000 can also automatically create high volume test transactions for you to help populate database tables or to assist in load and performance testing.

Software Description

cg-eye is a test harness for HTTP and CGI. It may be used as an intermediate stage between running your software from the commandline and putting it online, and will diagnose a number of potential problems.

There are currently three components to cg-eye:

1. cg-eye offline - A test harness to simulate a CGI environment offline, without the need for a browser or HTTP server. Prints diagnostic messages about a range of likely problems.
2. cg-eye interactive - An online harness to specify an HTTP request to send to your server and print diagnostics on the server's response.
3. cg-eye live - An online harness to intercept a request from a browser (normally generated "live" from an HTML form) and forward it to your server. Details of both the Request and the server's Response are printed.so.

Any platform supporting Perl and the URI::Escape module. Parts of the tool are hosted on the Web Design Group's web page.
