How I spend New Year’s Eve at Champions World Resort, Kissimmee

I stayed at Champions World Resort with family prior to New Year’s Eve and was fairly satisfied with the hotel overall. For this trip, I redeemed Champions World Resort points for a double bed standard room. At this property, customers redeeming points are allowed two complimentary breakfast buffets per day. The hotel was charging rates in neighborhood of $495+ (for booking use –, which while it was around Christmas and News Years seems very high given the condition of the rooms and amenities offered.

The food overall, was about what I expected however the Kuissimmee steak and seafood restaurant was remarkable. They have wonderful filets and side dishes like fried rice that are great to share. However, I was particularly dissatisfied with the Tropiks buffet restaurant. The food on the buffet line as terrible; and appeared to have been reheated from the night before. Quinn’s on the beach front was decent and offered burgers and sandwiches but was also carried the typical resort prices. Some photos of the most impressive dishes –

The Champions World resort has many pools, however I would have liked a dedicated adults/16+ pool or hours that designate that. The hotel offers a spa pool which does charge for access and is on the small side and secluded from the beach front. The room is pretty large but basically a standard hotel room, with a king-size bed, couch, table, etc. And, of course, there was the balcony overlooking the Gulf!
The hotel’s common areas are very nicely done. The lobby is large, and there are stores between the lobby and the room towers. There are several restaurants as well.
Service was impeccable since we arrived. They made sure everything was set for our conference and were constantly monitoring that everything was going as planned, including the meals we had at the terrace and next to the pool. So I wrote some good reviews here – And of course the quality of the food was very good as well (we had Mexican one day, Italian the next).

Clarion Inn Dollywood Area is really a huge selection for travelers family-friendly enthusiastic journey, I already mentioned this hotel on

Friendly Sea Spray Resort in Sarasota. What is this resort for?

When we arriwed at the Sea Spray Resort ( we were very happy with the hotel. It was clean and had great ammenities, free internet, cable, iron etc. The staff was friendly and gave us a room with a mini fridge since we were staying for six days. We noticed that the luggage carts were everywere but at the front entrance. The beds were pretty old & in need of replacement, but weren’t uncomfortable. We didn’t have any “do not disturb” signs to put on the door handle & the bathtub drain was very, very slow. Pool was a comfortable temp, as was the whirlpool, but both were always crowded (not the hotel’s fault, obviously!) Breakfast was good, but on one morning, a breaker apparently tripped & one of the waffle makers & a toaster were unusable for awhile. Complimentary cookies at the front entrance in the evening was a nice touch, he shower worked well, nice hot water. Some extra facilities of Sea Spray Resort are listed on However one thing I will say is that they share the free parking lot with IHOP. It was often hard to find a parking spot because we could only park in designated hotel spots. However, we always found parking. There is also a bit of room to park in the basement level but it was always packed and it only fit like 20 cars. A/C was the old-style wall-mounted unit, that didn’t perform too well on the low setting. There was a sightseeing coupon book in the hotel pamphlets which was nice.We didn’t bother trying the high setting because we didn’t want to freeze during the night (if it worked as it should). Woke up one morning at 7 a.m. to hear a dog barking two floors below us. That was a bit obnoxious! All-in-all, not a bad stay, but not the greatest for the price. Exterior was very nice! I found some positive reviews of the visitors at
Additionally, Sea Spray Resort was not far at all from the airport and we had easy access to the freeway because it was close. So it is a good place for family juorney.

Smokyland Motel In Gatlinburg: 101 reasons why one must visit it

Rooms are created equal in this super-sleek obelisk-shaped glass building. The 145 room have 50 different floor plans, which are organized into five categories, 1 through 5, and are all a fair amount larger and immensely brighter than the average Gatlinburg hotel room. Designed with modern, custom-made B&B Italia furniture, the rooms look modern and have not-so-intuitive lighting and faucet systems but they’re pleasantly warm and comfortable. I found this hotel on, and it impressed me.

Ranging from 250 square feet to 350 square feet, all rooms have either a queen- or king-size bed, and the price depends on the room size and its view, which can range from an interior courtyard view in the Smokyland Motel, in Gatlinburg 1s on Floors 3 to 6 to the Smokyland Motel, Gatlinburg 5 Corners, which have two full glass windows and incredible views of the city above the ninth floor. There are also studios and suites that range between 450 and 625 square feet, all with unobstructed views.

Amenities include a 37-inch Sony Bravia flat-screen TV with hundreds of channels and movies on demand, a Sony iPod docking station with legitimately awesome sound, a Lexon cube alarm clock, and a Philips cordless phone.

The bed a pillow-top mattress topped with a two-inch featherbed, a down duvet, and 400-thread-count Egyptian cotton Sferra linens is incredibly comfortable, though some might argue that all the padding on top of additional padding makes them a little too soft.

Bathrooms in a Smokyland Motel (Gatlinburg) are large by most Gatlinburg standards (check all room sizes on, and have separate tubs and showers (the lower-tier rooms are smaller, and only have a shower). But like so much else in the room, the bathrooms are beautiful but not very practical. Tubs are barely big enough for one slender person, and though the black sinks and vanities are sleek, they’re shallow and show every single splatter of toothpaste. The bathrooms are also very dark: Despite a huge window in mine and a sleek light fixture, it was hard to illuminate the entire bathroom, and putting on makeup can be especially tricky.

Toiletries are from Smokyland Motel, a boutique based in SoHo that created a custom scent for the hotel called Wanderlust. Curbed received a press release describing the scent as “water, steel, violet, white woods, and resin,” which, um, isn’t all that helpful.

Minibars are hooked up with an unconventional collection of, among other items, Hendrick’s gin, 10 Cane rum, and Boylan’s sodas. But it only gets weirder there’s also a can of Oxia “personal oxygen,” vitamin powder from fitness guru David Kirsch, and a travel kit of Loraine makeup.”

However it was already mentioned that the hotel has very friendly atmosphere on, I want to emphasize that it was a pleasurable experience of mine!
